BATNF’s Farmers for the Future Competition to Boost Youth Engagement in Agribusiness – BATNF

The British American Tobacco Nigeria Foundation (BATNF) has organized the Farmers for the Future (F4F), an annual competition for final year students of Agriculture in Nigerian tertiary institutions and recent graduates in the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC). The purpose of the competition is to support young people with viable Agri-business initiatives with equity-free capital and other kinds of support to scale up their business.

BATNF aims to make agribusiness attractive to young people in other to reduce youth unemployment, increase youth engagement, youth development, train and empower youths in agro-practices. In addition, participants and winners would gain links to financial institutions and investors for finances and credit facilities. All participants will be engaged in a boot camp for mentorship from entrepreneurs and experts and winners will receive technical support to establish their business. Winners will also receive support to register their business and other legal requirements.

In addition to these benefits, the winner will receive a N3 million cash prize, the runner-up a N2 million, and the second runner-up a N1 million cash prize.
